The easiest way to get a plant that thrives

Description

How it solves your problem
Most plants don't die because you don't care about them. They die because it's hard to see what's going on beneath the soil. Sometimes they get too little water. Other times, too much.

Moii makes it visible when your plant needs water. The indicator on the side moves with the water level in the reservoir, so you can see at a glance when it's time to refill.

It's placed where you see the pot every day.

You can also read more about why your plants die here

Designed for your home
With its calm Nordic expression and matte surface, the pot fits into any home. The shape is simple and timeless, highlighting the plant and creating balance in the room.

Produced in Denmark
Made in small batches in our own workshop in Denmark to ensure quality, short supply chains, and less waste.

Thoroughly tested watering system
The inner pot contains an invisible but well-thought-out system that ensures the plant gets exactly the right amount of water it needs. The specially developed wicks draw water up at a steady pace that matches the plant's natural needs. At the bottom of the inner pot are drainage holes that lead excess water back into the reservoir. The soil is kept moist without being soggy, and root health is significantly improved.

How to succeed

Use an airy soil mixture with about 50 percent potting soil and the rest perlite, leca or bark. Fill the reservoir with water until the indicator shows the correct level. The wick then ensures even moisture so that the plant neither drowns nor dries out. Check the indicator occasionally and top up with water when the level drops. It requires no experience and gives a plant that thrives day after day.

Which plants is it suitable for?

The self-watering pot is designed for the most common houseplants found in your local garden center. It is especially suitable for plants that thrive with even moisture in the soil. Examples

  • Pilea
  • Monstera
  • Golden Palm
  • Peace lily
  • Gummy fig
  • Heart vine
  • And many more. Just ask if you have any questions.

If the plant comes in a plastic pot the same size as these self-watering pots or smaller, it can be taken out of its plastic pot and placed directly into the inner pot without any problems.

However, it is not suitable for succulents and cacti.

Additional information

Unfortunately, the pot cannot be put in the dishwasher and must be washed by hand in lukewarm water.

It is not recommended to use it outdoors.

Please also note that each pot is unique and therefore the surface and color may vary slightly from the pictures.

How the self-watering pot works

You don't need to remember everything yourself. The pot makes it easy to see when it's time.

Fill up with water

Pour water into the pot until the indicator is at the top.

The plant takes care of itself

The plant takes water when it needs it.

When it's down

When the indicator is completely down, it is time to refill.

What's in the box? Everything for a happy plant

Every part of Moii has a function. The removable inner pot provides optimal conditions for the plant, the wick draws water from the reservoir, and the indicator makes it easy to see when to refill. A simple solution that makes it easier to keep plants alive.

Hidden water reservoir provides a minimalistic look

When the water is visible at the bottom of the pot, it is more easily affected by light and can, over time, appear green and less appealing. Moii conceals the water reservoir, ensuring the pot maintains a calm and clean look, even when in use.

More beautiful self-watering, also in everyday life

What does self-watering actually mean?

Self-watering doesn't mean you'll never have to water your plants. It means the plant has access to a water reservoir, allowing it to draw water more consistently over time.

Instead of the soil fluctuating between very wet and very dry, the reservoir helps maintain a more stable moisture level. This is especially beneficial for many common houseplants that don't tolerate large fluctuations.

You'll still need to refill the water. The difference is that Moii shows you when.

Brief explanation:

  1. You fill water into the reservoir
  2. The wick draws water into the soil
  3. The plant uses the water at its own pace
  4. The indicator drops when the water level gets low
  5. You refill it again

The right soil mix is important

For the self-watering pot to work optimally, it is important to have the right soil for your plant. Here, an airy soil is crucial for your plant's success. Use approx. 50% potting soil, 30% perlite and 20% bark. It is also important that the potting soil does not contain clay. You can also buy self-watering soil here

Why is the indicator on the side?

Because it's easier to check the water level in your daily life. With Moii, you can read the pot from the side with a quick glance, even when it's on a table, shelf, or floor. A meter at the top of the pot requires you to get close and look down to see if the plant needs water.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remember to water my plant?

This is where Moii makes all the difference. It's about being reminded of it in a busy everyday life. The SideLevel™ indicator is an integrated part of the pot's beautiful design and is incredibly easy to see on the side. A quick glance from the sofa is enough to remind you that it's time

Do I still need to water it myself?

Yes, you still need to add water. Moii simply reminds you when. When the indicator drops, just pour water directly into the reservoir.

What if I forget anyway?

Then nothing urgent happens. The plant still has water in the soil. But because the indicator is such a visual and integrated part of the design, Moii makes it much harder to overlook that it's time.

How often should I water my Moii pot?

It depends on the plant, but typically you only need to water every 2 to 4 weeks. The reservoir at the bottom ensures that the plant draws up the water it needs.

Should I water from above at the beginning?

No, not at all. You don't need to water from above at all. You can simply pour water directly into the reservoir from day one. It doesn't get any easier.

Should the plant be planted directly in the pot?

To achieve the full effect of the system, simply plant your plant directly in the Moii pot with a good and airy soil mixture.

Does the pot require batteries or an app to work?

No, not at all. Moii is a patented mechanical system that works completely without electricity or electronics. Just a clean and simple analogue design.

Will the pot leave marks on my furniture?

No, Moii has a completely waterproof outer pot, so you don't have to worry about unsightly marks and moisture damage to your tables or window sills.

What if my plants die anyway?

We have so much faith in our product that we offer a 60-day plant guarantee. If your plants do not thrive in your new Moii pot, you can get your money back even if you have used it.

Can all plants be put in it?

Most common houseplants work well in the pot, especially plants that thrive with a more consistent moisture level. However, it does not work for cacti and succulents.

How can I tell when the plant needs water?

The indicator on the side makes it easy to see when the water level is low, so you know when to refill.
